A team of three law students of the Faculty of Law at Aligarh Muslim University, including Shashwat Dubey, Tushar Kumar and Mayank Sharma, won the Best Memorial Award at the 8th CL Agrawal Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2024.

Former Resident Dr Pragya Ahuja, MS Ophthalmology, has achieved national recognition by securing third place for her thesis titled ‘A Study on Candidate Gene Polymorphism in Patients of Diabetic Retinopathy in the Indian Population’.

The Aligarh Chapter of the Smile Train, an international organisation, which supports cleft treatment for patients from economically weaker sections of society who cannot afford to pay for the surgery or treatment, in association with the Rashtriya Bal Suraksha Karyakaram organised a national birth defect awareness programme at the Department of Plastic Surgery in Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College at Aligarh Muslim University.

Prof Mohammad Asif from the Department of Economics and Prof Subuhi Khan from the Department of Mathematics participated in a Leadership Development Programme, organized under the aegis of the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme, Ministry of Education at the Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak.

The Department of Plastic Surgery in JN Medical College at Aligarh Muslim University organized a lecture by Dr Neha Chauhan of Bengaluru’s Fortis Hospital on ‘Breast Reduction Surgery’, while Dr Fahud Khurram, Chairman of the department, Dr Neha and Dr Sarfaraz conducted a live operative workshop.

Dr Kulsum Alam, an MD student in the Department of Anaesthesiology of JN Medical College at Aligarh Muslim University presented a research paper, titled ‘Accuracy and validity of different Transoesophageal Echocardiography views in the measurement of RVOT gradient in tetralogy of Fallot repair patients’ at the 18th World Congress of Anaesthesiologists in Singapore.

The Department of Economics at Aligarh Muslim University, recently hosted slogan writing and painting competitions, centered on the theme of 'Mera Pehla Vote-Desh Ke Liye'.
