‘Everyone should learn life-saving rescue techniques’

Aligarh: Prof S Moied Ahmed, Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care in JN Medical College at Aligarh Muslim University performed different techniques of Percutaneous Tracheostomy and Surgical Airway during the Cadaveric Workshop organized at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He made the demonstrations on PCT through his recorded videos.

The hands-on training session for the postgraduate students included various techniques of the surgical airway which are life-saving rescue procedures to buy time so that at least oxygen can be delivered into the patient's lungs till a definitive airway can be passed through the larynx.

Dr Ahmed emphasized that all medical professionals and even the common man should learn life-saving rescue techniques and be prepared to tackle emergencies and save patients’ lives.
