Workshop held on ‘Advances in Deep Learning’

Aligarh: The Interdisciplinary Centre for Artificial Intelligence at Aligarh Muslim University organized a two-day international workshop on ‘Advances in Deep Learning: Tools & Techniques’ in hybrid mode.

The workshop opened with an inaugural session by Prof Nesar Ahmad, who highlighted AI's ethical and power consumption challenges. Prof Mohd Muzammil highlighted the need for responsible AI development, while Prof Rashid Ali welcomed participants.

Spanning five technical sessions, the workshop featured talks by national and international experts. Dr Nadeem Akhtar delivered a keynote on ‘Deep Learning Unveiled: From Basics to Breakthroughs’, providing a comprehensive overview of neural network architectures. Other notable speakers included Palash Kulshreshtha, who discussed LLM-based systems, and Dr Mohd Ayyub Khan, who conducted a hands-on session on Convolutional Neural Networks.

The online sessions featured Dr Zeba Khanam, speaking on deep learning in cybersecurity, and Dr Md Muzakkir Hussain, discussing Edge AI and TinyML frameworks.

The event concluded with a valedictory session where participants received certificates and customized gifts. Attendees appreciated the expert-led discussions and hands-on learning experience.
