Experts delineated various dimensions of healthcare-related infections in hospitals, their prevention, and control of antimicrobial resistance in a three-day XVII annual conference of the Hospital Infection Society-India, organized jointly by the Aligarh chapter of the organization and the Department of Microbiology, JNMCH, Aligarh Muslim University.

Areeba Dilshad and Basrah Hasan Rizvi won the online debate competition, in senior and junior categories respectively, organized by the Advanced Centre for Women’s Studies, Aligarh Muslim University on the topic “Patriarchy is responsible for lingering gender inequality even after 75 years of Independence”.

Students discoursed on how Indian sportswomen and athletes are trying to establish their identity and how participation in sports can be an invigorating and personally empowering experience for women in the online debate competition on ‘Sports in Independent India: A Gender-Bender’ of the Literary Committee, Women's College, Aligarh Muslim University. The competition was held to mark the 75th Indian Independence Day.
