Eight students from the faculties of Commerce and Management at Aligarh Muslim University have been selected by ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, one of the leading insurance companies in India, after a series of assessments facilitated by the Training and Placement Office (General).

The District Early Intervention Centre and Centre of Excellence in Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College at Aligarh Muslim University organized several competitive events for the children, observing the National Children’s Day that marks the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru.

The Department of Education at Aligarh Muslim University organized a programme to observe National Education Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of the distinguished freedom fighter and the first education minister of India, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

Dr. Rosina Pastore, FWO Junior Research Fellow, Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, Ghent University, Belgium, delivered a special lecture, under the auspices of the CAS, Department of History in Aligarh Muslim University, on the theme “Rajasthani Sovereign and their engagement with the philosophy during the Mughal Period: The case of Jasvant Singh I Rathod”.

Children, whatever race or ethnicity, whatever historical or geographical circumstances they are born into, represent an ongoing opportunity for hope. Books make that leap of imagination possible in children’s lives.” said Prof. Robin Davidson, Head of the Department of English at the University of Houston-Downtown, while delivering the keynote address at the inaugural session of the International  Conference on “Children’s Literature: Classics to Contemporary”, organized by the Kashmiri Section, Department of Modern Indian Languages at Aligarh Muslim University.
