The Department of Education at Aligarh Muslim University organized a programme to observe National Education Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of the distinguished freedom fighter and the first education minister of India, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.

Dr. Rosina Pastore, FWO Junior Research Fellow, Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, Ghent University, Belgium, delivered a special lecture, under the auspices of the CAS, Department of History in Aligarh Muslim University, on the theme “Rajasthani Sovereign and their engagement with the philosophy during the Mughal Period: The case of Jasvant Singh I Rathod”.

“A child’s need for stories is as fundamental as his need for food. Children, whatever race or ethnicity, whatever historical or geographical circumstances they are born into, represent an ongoing opportunity for hope. Books make that leap of imagination possible in children’s lives.” said Prof. Robin Davidson, Head of the Department of English at the University of Houston-Downtown, while delivering the keynote address at the inaugural session of the International  Conference on “Children’s Literature: Classics to Contemporary”, organized by the Kashmiri Section, Department of Modern Indian Languages at Aligarh Muslim University.

स्थानीय सिविल एयरपोर्ट को वायुसेना परिसर से बाहर स्थापित करने की प्रक्रिया एक बार पुन: शुरू हो गई है। इसके लिए जिला प्रशासन द्वारा जनपद के धनौली, बल्हेरा व अभयपुरा गांवों की जमीन चिह्नित कर ली गई है। किसानों को इसके लिए जमीन की कीमत से चार गुना मुआवजा दिया जा रहा है।

Dr. Fatma Faheem, an alumna of Aligarh Muslim University, received recognition for her research at the 7th Safety and Cultural Heritage Summit 2023, hosted by the Smithsonian Institution.
