Lecture on ‘Skill Enhancement through Project Work’

Aligarh: CEO of Mumbai based QollabEducTech, Vipendra Singh called for integrating experiential learning interventions with higher education allowing students to develop deep content knowledge and 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and communication.

He was speaking on ‘Skill Enhancement through Project Work’ in the online lecture of the Centre for Distance and Online Education, Aligarh Muslim University.

“Globalisation, automation and growth of the gig economy have reduced predictable and repetitive jobs and there is a pressing need to develop Industry expertise and core employability skills through participation in real work projects and experiences”, said Vipendra.

He emphasised that the Project-based learning (PBL) method should be used across various learning environments, including high schools and universities by engaging students in real-world, meaningful projects.

Vipendra spoke about inquiry-based learning with examples of how students are immensely benefitting through the project-based learning method.

In concluding the programme, Prof Md Nafees Ahmad Ansari, Director, CDOE, discussed creative learning through online and distance modes.

Over 100 students of regular and distance education courses participated in the programme.
