Aligarh: The Faculty of Law at Aligarh Muslim University organised an extra-mural lecture on ‘Artificial Intelligence regulation in India: Challenges and Prospects for Bar-Bench and Academia’ by Prof Tabrez Ahmad, Founding Dean, Faculty of Law, Maulana Azad National Urdu University of Hyderabad.
Prof Ahmad, an alumnus of AMU’s Department of Law, discussed the concept of artificial intelligence concerning the law and highlighted the various kinds of legal challenges posed by the use of AI. He emphasised the need for regulating this revolutionary tool.
Earlier, Prof MZM Nomani, Faculty of Law Dean, welcomed the guest speaker and introduced him to the students.
Prof Ishrat Husain also shed light on the criminal justice system in the backdrop of artificial intelligence. A question-answer session followed the lecture.
Shashwat Dubey, a third-year student, extended a vote of thanks.
