Prof Shahab Fazal from the Department of Geography at Aligarh Muslim University participated in a seminar on ‘Climate Change and Sustainable Society: With Special Reference to North-East India’ at the Nara Women’s University of Japan.

Prof Asia Sultana, Anti-Discrimination Officer of Aligarh Muslim University, delivered a lecture on ‘Gender Discrimination’ at the Faculty of Unani Medicine to sensitize the newly admitted students regarding issues about discrimination on any grounds.

Prof Nizamuddin Khan, former Chairman, the Department of Geography at Aligarh Muslim University has been honoured with the prestigious Bhoogol Vachaspati Award, conferred on him by the National Association of Geographers at the inaugural function of the Indian Geography Congress organized by the Department of Geography at Osmania University in Hyderabad.

The University Debating and Literary Club of Aligarh Muslim University organized a Roundtable Symposium on ‘Climate Change at the Crossroads: Biodiversity, Sustainability, Technology and Culture’ at the Kennedy Auditorium of AMU.
