The Department of Museology at Aligarh Muslim University organised an international seminar on "Museum for Education and Research", in collaboration with the International Council of Museums and the International Council for Biodeterioration of Cultural Property.

Prof Shaheena Tarannum has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Department of English at AMU for three years, with effect from May 14.

Captain Najaf Ali Khan, Coy Commander, 2/8 Coy, NCC, and a teacher at the Saiyid Hamid Senior Secondary School of Aligarh Muslim University has been promoted to the Captain from his earlier rank, Lieutenant, after completing the training of PRCN and the refresher course, and securing the Alpha Grading in both the courses.

The Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor Prof Naima Khatoon launched the customized Enterprise Resource Planning System at the Faculty of Management Studies and Research, which has been developed by a team of Department alumnus Atif Husain and his associates Saif, Luv and Usman.
