Aligarh: Captain Najaf Ali Khan, Coy Commander, 2/8 Coy, NCC, and a teacher at the Saiyid Hamid Senior Secondary School of Aligarh Muslim University has been promoted to the Captain from his earlier rank, Lieutenant, after completing the training of PRCN and the refresher course, and securing the Alpha Grading in both the courses.
He was decorated with the relevant badge at the rank ceremony held at the 8 UP Bn NCC here.
The Commanding Officer, the 8 UP Battalion, Col. Ajay Lumba, while congratulating Captain Khan, said that rank comes with additional responsibilities.
Prof (Maj) Fareed Mahdi, Liaison Officer of AMU and Maj Mohd Israil, Coy Commander, 1 UP Engr., along with Subedar Major Satveer Singh, Subedar Rajesh Kumar, Nb. Subedar Ashok, Hav. Prem and other office staff of 8 UP Bn NCC were also present on the occasion and congratulated Captain Khan on the promotion.
