Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University’s Gymkhana Club organized an exhilarating two-day inter-school basketball tournament, where young athletes representing eight different teams from the Aligarh district demonstrated their prowess and vied for the championship.
Krishna International School’s basketball team exhibited a stunning performance in the final and defeated St Fidelis School by 53-49.
Earlier, the tournament was jointly inaugurated by Prof Asfar Ali Khan, Director of School Education, and Prof Syed Amjad Ali Rizvi, Secretary of the University Games Committee.
Dr Murad Ahmed Khan, EC member, Dr Jameel Ahmad, President of Gymkhana Club and Dr Anisur Rahman Khan, Deputy Director, Sports handed over the trophy to the winning team and distributed prizes to the players.
