Aligarh: Dr Absar Ahmad, a Junior Resident in the Department of Community Medicine, Faculty of Medicine at Aligarh Muslim University, has been honoured with the Prof TN Krishnan Award at the 12th Annual Conference of the Indian Health Economics and Policy Association.
His study explored the reliability and validity of the Multidimensional Poverty Index in rural Aligarh’s Jawan block. Prof Uzma Eram, Chairperson, congratulated Dr Ahmad on this achievement, which highlights AMU’s contributions to health economics research.
Held at the India International Centre of New Delhi, the award recognizes early-career researchers and was presented for Dr Ahmad’s outstanding research paper, judged best among six finalists from leading institutions.
