Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor Prof Naima Khatoon flagged off a tobacco awareness vehicle, set to cover a 10 km radius to spread the anti-tobacco message among people, during the concluding function of a week-long series of events, marking the World No-Tobacco Day, organized by the Department of Periodontia and Community Dentistry at Dr Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College.

“As the World Environment Day on June 5 draws near, India awaits the end of its national elections and the declaration of their results. The State of India’s Environment in Figures – an annual publication by the Centre for Science and Environment and Down To Earth magazine – is a unique collation of statistics that provides a snapshot of the state of affairs in the country using numbers. What it also provides is an agenda for development, based on hard facts and data, to the new-old government that will emerge to take hold of the country's reins,” said Sunita Narain, director general of CSE, here.
