The Centre of Professional Courses, in collaboration with the Department of Commerce at Aligarh Muslim University, organized an international conference on ‘Global Business and Socio-Economic Development in the 21st Century: Teachings of Holy Prophets and Other World Philosophers’.

The faculty members and students of various departments, centres and faculties joined the ‘World Environment Day’ celebrations with a slew of green activities across the Aligarh Muslim University.

On World Environment Day, green activists took a stand for a more pedestrian and cyclist-friendly Agra, urging municipal and transport authorities to implement necessary measures.

The Rural Health Training Centre of Jawan and the Urban Health Training Centre, working under the Department of Community Medicine of JN Medical College at Aligarh Muslim University organized health talks at their respective centres under the guidance of the Chairman of the department, Prof Saira Mehnaz, to observe the World No-tobacco Day.

The Department of Sanskrit at Aligarh Muslim University organized a lecture on ‘Relevance of the Vedas in Modern Times’ under its special lecture series started a couple of weeks ago.

The Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor Prof Naima Khatoon inaugurated a Children’s Park in the Medical Colony area of the university and launched a massive plantation drive by planting saplings in the park. These programmes were organized by the Department of Lands and Garden, AMU to mark World Environment Day.
