Aligarh: A massive cleanliness drive was carried out at the Saiyyid Hamid Senior Secondary School—Boys, Aligarh Muslim University to observe the Swacchata Abhiyan in the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
Leading the cleanliness drive with school teachers and non-teaching staff, Dr. SM Mustafa, Principal, stressed the necessity for cleanliness.
Exhorting staff members and students to follow the spirit of cleanliness, he said: “Our attitude towards cleanliness also reflects our attitude towards society. There is a need to make the clean India mission an obsession and all of us should immediately stop littering. It is high time that through community participation, we must achieve cleanliness in our villages, cities, and all untidy proximities”.
Dr. Mustafa also administered the cleanliness pledge on the occasion.
Bachchan Ali Khan, the Programme Coordinator, urged teachers, students, and other staff members to adopt a holistic approach towards cleanliness.
