Yoga session held at Ahmadi School on Yoga Day



Aligarh: The teachers and students of the Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenged at Aligarh Muslim University participated in a mass Yoga session held at the lawns of the school, to mark the 9th International Yoga Day.

School Principal, Dr. Naila Rashid underscored the significance of the day and discussed the benefits of meditation and Yoga while especially focusing on the Yoga Day theme of the year, “Yoga for Vasudeva Kutumbakam”. She also highlighted the relevance of the theme that encompasses the theme of the G-20 summit under India’s presidency, “One Earth, One Family, One Future”.

An array of Yoga asanas were performed under the guidance of the games teacher Sana Raza who also highlighted the benefits of Yoga.
