Workshop on Scientific Writing concludes



Aligarh: A transformative workshop on Scientific Writing, Research Integrity and Publication Ethics, an initiative of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine, concluded at The Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College.

About 50 educators from various AYUSH institutions across India attended the workshop, dedicated to building capacity among postgraduate guides.

The three-day event included 20 sessions led by 10 NCISM-appointed master trainers, among them AMU’s own Dr Fahmida Zeenat. These sessions provided attendees with critical insights into scientific methodologies, ethical research practices, and robust publication protocols.

During the valedictory session, Dr Farooq Ahmad Dar, Workshop Coordinator, welcomed the guests and highlighted the contributions of joint coordinators Dr Azizur Rehman, Dr SM Ahmer, Dr Sumbul Rehman, Dr Hafiz Iqtidar, Dr Fahmida Zeenat, and Dr Rabia Riaz.

The session’s Chief Guest, Prof Syed Shah Alam, OSD, National Institute of Unani Medicine in Ghaziabad, emphasized the universal importance of integrity and ethics in academia and research.

Guest of Honour, Dr Faiza Abbasi, Director of UGC MMTC in AMU, encouraged participants to validate traditional medicine with scientific evidence.

Presiding over the event were Prof Ubaidullah Khan, Dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine, and Prof Badrudujja Khan, Principal, Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College. Dr Sumbul Rehman convened the session, with Dr H Iqtidar Ahmad delivering the vote of thanks.
