Aligarh: The Club for Short Evening Courses, under the Cultural Education Centre at Aligarh Muslim University, organized an orientation program titled ‘Religious and Scientific Relevance of Fasting during the Holy Month of Ramadan’ at Kennedy Auditorium.
Islamic scholar and AMU alumnus Hazrat Allama Ateef Miyan Qadri Azhari delivered the keynote address, shedding light on the profound spiritual significance of fasting while also discussing its scientifically proven health benefits.
The session attracted a diverse audience of students, faculty members and staff, who explored the multidimensional aspects of Ramadan fasting.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr Ahmad Mujtaba Siddiqui, President of the Club for Short Evening Courses. Prof Mohd Naved Khan, Coordinator of the Cultural Education Centre, led the proceedings. The program concluded with an engaging discussion, an exercise to promote intellectual and cultural discourse.
