Aligarh: Prof S Moied Ahmed, Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care from JN Medical College of Aligarh Muslim University, who also happens to be the President, UP Chapter of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists inaugurated the CME-cum-Workshop, organized by the ISA City Branch, Agra, by hoisting the organization’s flag and lighting the lamp.
In his presidential address, Prof Ahmed said learning is a continuous process and CME is an integral part of learning. He, however, stressed the need to focus on hands-on training workshops. He hoped the delegates will learn and understand more when they practically perform on manikins or dummies.
He said that recently the National Medical Council has updated its curriculum by making it skill-based learning.
The theme of the CME was ‘Regional Anaesthesia’, a new idea but very relevant in today’s anesthesia practice. Approximately 125 delegates participated in the workshop.
Dr. Moied also chaired a session and was felicitated at the programme.
