Aligarh: The Mechanical Engineering Section of the University Polytechnic at Aligarh Muslim University organized a webinar on “Advancement in Diesel Engines: Electronic Perspective”.
In his inaugural address, Prof. Arshad Umar, Principal of the University Polytechnic, highlighted the importance of integrated technology related to diesel engines.
The Convener of the programme, Dr. Shujaat Yar Khan provided a detailed introduction to the webinar and welcomed the participants.
The resource person, Amit Saxena, Head, Maintenance Offshore, Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd, Mumbai, who is also an alumnus of Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, AMU, discussed the issues and better ways for the maintenance of the large capacity diesel engines. He shared his vast experience of working with marine diesel engines.
He interacted with the participants and discussed in detail the modern trends in diesel fuel injection system which includes the latest technologies like electronic fuel metering and electronic engine governors.
Mirza Shariq Beg conducted the programme and Mohd Yunus Khan extended a vote of thanks.
More than 200 participants from India and abroad, belonging to academics and industry, attended the webinar.
