Sports activities held under 'Fit India' programme

Aligarh: The Sarojini Naidu Hall of Residence for female students at the Aligarh Muslim University organized week-long sports activities under the Fit India Week programme.

The Provost of the hall, Prof Afshan Bey and Warden Varisha, who led the activities and provided guidance, said that several sports events, including Badminton, Kho kho, Chess, Carom, Musical Chair and Race were organized under the programme and a good number of resident students participated in the sports extravaganza.

Addressing the participants, Prof Bey said that sports activities play a crucial role in the physical and mental well-being of a person and students should pay attention to sports and physical activities as well, along with their academic activities.
