Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University chapter of the National Service Scheme, in collaboration with the Nursing Officer Association, JN Medical College Hospital organized a Basic Life Support awareness training programme NSS office.
Prof Farah Azmi, Principal, the College of Nursing was the chief guest and Prof Syed Ali Nawaz Zaidi, Deputy Proctor and Sijauddin, President of the Nursing Officers Association were the guests of honour.
Dr Arshad Husain, Programme Coordinator, NSS welcomed the guests. Rinku Chaudhary, a trained Life Support expert gave the live demonstration of the CPR technique with the help of a mannequin.
A senior lady nursing officer, Nisar Jahan talked about the importance of creating awareness about the menace of drug abuse and the need to save youth from the ill effects of drugs. Ashiq Ali, a Nursing officer also spoke on the occasion.
The programme officers Syed Mohd Talha, Rashid Imran Ahmad Khan, Sadaf Ahmad and Dr Naved Qureshi, along with the members of the Nursing Officers Association, and student volunteers attended the programme.
