Awareness session held on Menstrual Hygiene Management



Aligarh: The Department of Community Medicine in JN Medical College at Aligarh Muslim University, in collaboration with the Rotary Club, Aligarh Smart City and UDAAN Society, organized an awareness session on menstrual hygiene management at the PM Shree Composite Upper Primary School.

The initiative was part of a series of training sessions aimed at educating school students on important health topics.

Dr Karthika P, Senior Resident, delivered a lecture on menstrual hygiene for adolescent girls covering the physiology of menstruation, practical tips for maintaining hygiene during daily life and dispelling common myths and misconceptions related to menstruation.

She also demonstrated the use of commonly available menstrual hygiene management materials, making the session more interactive and relatable.

The students and teachers of the upper primary section enthusiastically participated in the discussion and Q&A session conducted by Dr Warisha Javed, Junior Resident, who responded to students’ queries.
