AMU faculty elected as Vice-Chairperson, IEEE Executive Committee

Aligarh: Prof. Mohd Rihan of Aligarh Muslim University has been elected as the Vice-Chairperson of the Executive Committee, UP Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, one of the largest technical professional associations dedicated to advancing innovation and technological excellence to build industry standards and serve professionals involved in every aspect of electrical, electronic and computing field.

He has been elected as the Vice-Chairperson for the year 2021 through voting of members against candidatures of academicians and scientists from various IITs and other top-notch engineering institutes.

"IEEE, which originated in the USA has over four lakh members in 160 countries. The UP section alone has about 1800 members," said Prof. Rihan.

He is also on the board of members in the executive committee of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, United Kingdom, which has 1,68,000 members and local networks in south-east Asia.

Prof. M Rihan is also the Member-in-Charge, Electricity and Director, Centre for Integrated Green and Renewable Energy in AMU.
