Tunnel construction from RBS to Raja Mandi completed



Agra: The tunnel construction for both the lines from RBS Ramp to Raja ki Mandi metro station has been completed and the civil and finishing works for metro stations are also progressing at a rapid pace.

TBM ‘Yamuna' which was re-launched from SN Medical College Metro Station towards Mankameshwar Metro Station is also operating at a rapid pace and around 200 rings have already been placed by the TBM.

The Machine will go on to construct the longest tunnel stretch in the underground section of Agra Metro, covering a distance of approximately 1.3 km. Similarly, TBM -4 which was launched from Raja Ki Mandi Station towards Agra College has completed around 237 meters of tunnel construction.

The balance section on the first corridor of the Agra Metro Rail Project comprises four metro stations – SN Medical College, Agra College, Raja Ki Mandi and RBS College Metro Station. There are a total of four TBMs deployed for the entire tunnelling work of the Underground section.

Currently, the civil works are progressing at a fast pace on the underground stretch of the Balance section of the Agra Metro Project, and team Agra Metro is committed to giving the people of Agra a world-class metro rail system within the set timeline.
