Aligarh: Dr Tabish Khan from the Department of Neurosurgery of Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College at Aligarh Muslim University chaired a session at the 4th World Neuroscience Summit held in New Delhi and presented a paper on “Spinal Deformities”.
Dr Khan emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and intervention in managing spinal deformities, particularly scoliosis, which poses significant challenges due to its complex nature. He discussed various management strategies, including advanced surgical techniques and the use of modern instrumentation, which have greatly improved correction rates and patient outcomes.
He shared his experience in carrying out more than 60 spinal deformity correction surgeries and highlighted the challenging situations and the ways to mitigate them.
