Aligarh: The Indian Patent Office has granted a Design Patent to an innovative robot design created by Dr Faizan Ahmad, Department of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology. His design was registered on December 4, with the Design Number 427474-001.
Dr Ahmad said this design could be used in different agricultural applications, especially in plucking and storing fruits, vegetables and flowers.
Prof ZR Azaz Ahmad Azad, Chairman of the Department of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology, congratulated Dr Faizan on this achievement.
He said that Dr Faizan and Prof Sadaf Zaidi together got a patent in November 2023 for their innovative idea of a fully automatic vacuum dryer with a data recorder.
