Aligarh: Two days Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students of Diploma in Engineering was conducted for all branches to provide better insights on various facets of university life from academic norms to resources and support services on 16-17th November at Polytechnic Auditorium, AMU.
Dean F/O Engg & Tech., Prof Mirza Salim Beg in his congratulatory remark to the newly admitted students said we will be there with you, and besides you, to help you navigate through the journey of mutual discovery of learning. Our mission is to assist you to evolve into an industry ready professional.
Prof Arshad Umar, Principal of University Polytechnic; in his welcome note said; the occasion brings hopes and expectations, of stepping into a new life. He also gave presentations on different aspects of the functioning of the University Polytechnic and advised the students to utilize every opportunity. He added that the Polytechnic offers the best infrastructure in terms of teaching faculty and related academic facilities.
Prof Arshad H khan representing the office of the Proctor briefed the students about various mechanisms implemented by the University for maintaining discipline. Dr. Abdus Samad nominee of DSW apprised the students about various facilities provided by the office.
Mohammad Israil, In-charge Polytechnic Library, explained the facilities available at the library and the rules for availing of them. Superintendent of Exams, Mazhar Ali, talked about the examination process. Dr. Wasif Ullah Khan, Assistant Chief Tabulator, explained grading and result processing. Dr. Mohd. Faisal Khan, TPO, discussed the objectives and importance of the training and placement facility of Polytechnic.
Syyada Faheem, Faculty and Coordinator, conducted the proceedings. Incharge of different sections of the University Polytechnic were also present to greet the students.
