Lecture held on gender discrimination in AMU



Aligarh: Prof Asia Sultana, the Anti-Discrimination Officer of Aligarh Muslim University, delivered a lecture on ‘Gender Discrimination’ at the Faculty of Unani Medicine to sensitize the newly admitted students to issues of discrimination on any grounds.

Prof Sultana elaborated on the gender environment in the university and emphasized that the University has a strong tradition of inclusivity and strictly adheres to the zero-tolerance policy towards gender or any other kind of discrimination at any level.

She suggested ways to discourage discrimination in the university and stressed that students are the torchbearers of gender equality. She urged them to live in harmony and come forward to help spread the message of equal rights and equal opportunities among the masses.

Dr Saba Zaidi extended a vote of thanks and presented the certificate to Prof Asia Sultana as a token of appreciation.
