Aligarh: The Rural Health Training Centre in Jawan, running under the management of the Department of Community Medicine at Aligarh Muslim University organized a health camp for school children, under the guidance of Prof. Saira Mehnaz, Chairperson, Department of Community Medicine, and Dr. Uzma Eram. Dr. Tabassum Nawab supervised the camp.
Dr. Uzma Eram welcomed the doctors and school children and oriented them about various health issues and their remedies.
The doctors who attended the camp and provided consultation to the patients, included Dr. Uzma Eram, Dr. Shivangi Kumari, Dr. N Harapriya, Dr. Absar Ahmad, Dr. Arpit Saxena, Dr. Shubham Upadhyay, Dr. Shafi Warisha Javed, Dr. Anchal Negi, Dr. Subhash Kumar and Dr. Chandramouli Mitra, while the interns filled the school health proforma and performed anthropometry and general physical examination of the children.
Relevant investigations were done at the camp and children were called for follow-up for a refractive error test.
