Aligarh: In observance of World Oral Health Month in April, the Department of Orthodontics of Dr ZA Dental College at AMU, organized a series of events aimed at promoting awareness about oral health and orthodontics.
Spanning three days from April 1 to 3, the program covered a range of activities designed to educate and engage both students and the wider community.
The inaugural day commenced with a speech highlighting the importance of oral health and its interconnection with orthodontics. Day two featured an entertaining educational skit organized by BDS students, creatively designed to impart knowledge on various aspects of orthodontics and oral health.
A poster Competition on the theme of Oral Health and Orthodontics was also held, showcasing the creativity and knowledge of BDS students. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students presenting captivating posters and informative oral presentations.
The final day of the program focused on raising awareness among patients regarding oral hygiene maintenance, emphasizing its crucial role in supporting orthodontic treatments and ensuring long-term oral health.
Prof Sanjeev Kumar Verma, Chairman of the department, along with other faculty members, felicitated and acknowledged the contributions of awardees and participants. Certificates of appreciation were also distributed.
