Children’s book under Sir Syed series released



Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mohammad Gulrez released a children's book, "Sir Syed Series I" brought out under the publication programme of All India Muslim Educational Conference.

On the occasion, Gulrez said that Sir Syed Ahmad Khan's vision of education for all is still relevant and provides us with a leading light to trek the development path with ease.

He said that it is necessary to introduce the new generation to Sir Syed’s contributions, which paved the way for the educational, social, and economic development of the Muslims in particular, and all countrymen in general. He praised the Muslim Educational Conference’s initiative to publish books under the Sir Syed series as this gesture will make the children familiar with the life and contributions of Sir Syed at the school and senior levels.

The honorary General Secretary of All India Muslim Educational Conference Prof. Razaullah Khan highlighted the details of this publication series and said that the first book has been launched in English and Urdu languages and its Hindi edition is also ready to go to the press. He said that three books of this series will be published for the class III, V, and VII and several schools in the city have been urged to introduce these books in their curricula.

Prof Abid Ali Khan, Asad Yar Khan, Naseem Waris, Khursheed Ahmad Khan, Mohammad Ahmad Shevan, Rashid Mustafa, AMU Proctor Prof Mohd Wasim Ali, Dr. Bilal Tafsir and other officials of AMU Property Department and School Directorate were present on this occasion.

The copies of these publications were presented to the Finance Office, Prof M Mohsin Khan, and the Controller of Examinations, Prof Mujib Ullah Zuberi.
