Aligarh: Dr Ravinder Singh, Assistant Professor of Russian in the Department of Foreign Languages at Aligarh Muslim University has been honoured with the XXIV International Pushkin Award in Moscow.
The event was organized by the Federal State Budgetary Department ‘Editorial Office of the Rossiyskaya Gazeta’ and the Department of External Economic and International Relations of the city of Moscow.
The Award ceremony was attended by the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi, Minister of the Moscow Government, Duma Dmitry Kozhaev, Yadviga Yuferova, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Rossiyskaya Gazeta and Nikita Gusev, Acting Rector of the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language.
During his visit to Moscow, Dr Singh visited several Russian universities and educational institutes and held talks with renowned pedagogues, poets and writers, who expressed willingness to collaborate with AMU for academic exchange.
