AMU research scholar presents paper at IIT Roorkee



Aligarh: Abdul Moeed, a research scholar in the Department of West Asian and North African Studies, Aligarh Muslim University, participated in the conference on “Digitalization and Inclusive Banking: Vision for the Next 25 Years”, held at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.

While presenting his paper on "Financing Higher Education and Educational Loans from Commercial Banks: Trends, Issues, and Challenges”, he highlighted the current educational loan scenario in the country with a special focus on the loan regime as approved by the RBI.

The conference was an attempt to provide an interactive platform to policy experts, central banking experts, bank managers, academicians, and research scholars working in this area to gather and discuss the national and global challenges in achieving sustainable development goals, aligned with the goal of inclusive banking and propose solutions towards successful implementation of national and global action plans.

Moeed is pursuing a Ph.D. under the guidance of Prof. Mohammad Azhar, Dean, Faculty of International Studies and Chairman, the Department of West Asian and North African Studies.
