AMU Biotech students qualify CSIR, GATE

Aligarh: Seven students of the Interdisciplinary Biotechnology Unit from Aligarh Muslim University qualified for the CSIR and GATE examinations to pursue research at prestigious national laboratories.

Sania Zaidi and Hirah Amir secured PhD positions at IIT New Delhi. Muhammad Uzair and Abdul Basit Khan have also qualified the CSIR-JRF with AIR 99 and 177 respectively.

Anam Ibrahim has been selected for PhD at the IIT Delhi after qualifying GATE, AIR 408 and Umar Khalid Khan with GATE, AIR 318 qualification will pursue PhD at BSBE, IIT Kanpur. Wareesha Ali also qualified GATE, AIR 268. 

Sheer hard work and guidance from faculty members led the students to succeed, said Prof. Waseem Ahmad Siddiqui, Coordinator of Interdisciplinary Biotechnology Unit.
