Aligarh: The Centre for Skill Development and Career Planning in Women’s College of Aligarh Muslim University organized a workshop on ‘Hands-on practices on Computerized Embroidery Machine’, along with three training sessions, with more than 50 learners of various courses run by the centre, participating in the programme.
Prof Masud Anwar Alavi, Director of the Centre said that the computerized embroidery machines can produce embroidery from computer-generated designs. These Computerized machines are available at the Embroidery lab of the Centre as it offers certificate programmes in Needle Work.
Adiba Saleem, Guest Instructor of the Needle Work course provided training to the participants. She said that the students were informed about the type of cloth to be adorned, the size of the pattern, the stabilizer selected, the types of thread used, handling of Machine software and numerous other things that affect the quality of the finished product of a computerized embroidery machine.
The training partners included Agrawal Marketing Company and Usha International who arranged different sewing and Computerized Embroidery machine learning programmes for the participants.
