MM Hall emerges as winner of inter-hall football tournament

Aligarh: The Mohsinul Mulk Hall won the inter-hall football tournament defeating the Non-Residential Students’ Club 4-2 via penalty shootout in the finals of the Inter-hall Football Tournament 2023-24, played at the University Football Ground of Aligarh Muslim University.

Both the teams were locked nil at the end of full-time. The match was decided in the penalty shootout. MM Hall won the match by 4-2. Nadir KM, Faheem, Saquib Khan and Rahik K scored for the MM Hall while Ibad and Hamid scored one goal each for the NRSC.

In the prize distribution ceremony, the chief guest, former AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohd Gulrez, guest of honour Principal AK Tibbiya College, Prof BD Khan, Director UGC HRDC, Dr Faiza Abbasi, Director IT and District Information Officer, Aligarh Naseem Ahmad and Prof Mohd Pervez distributed prizes to the winner and runner up teams.

Prof Gulrez urged the students to participate actively in such events by emphasizing the importance of such activities in all-around personality development.

Dr Mohammad Anas, President of the football Club welcomed the guests and Danish Khan, Captain proposed the vote of thanks.

The match was officiated by football coach S Tufail ur Rahman, Mehzoor, Inam Khan and Muntazir.
