Aligarh: Dr. Lamaan Sami, Associate Professor in the Department of Commerce at Aligarh Muslim University, recently represented the university at the International Conference on ‘Corporate Governance, Responsibility, and the Institutional Diversity of Capitalism: Towards a Global Dialogue’.
The conference, held at Loughborough University of London, from September 11 to 13, brought together scholars and dignitaries from around the globe to discuss key corporate governance and responsibility trends.
Dr Sami presented her research paper titled ‘ESG Practices in India: A Study on Section 8 Organizations in Higher Education’, which examined the incorporation of Environmental, Social, and Governance frameworks in Section 8 organizations, specifically within India’s higher education institutions. Her research highlighted the varied approaches to ESG reporting and implementation, calling for more standardized guidelines for educational organizations.
Dr Sami also explored potential academic collaborations with business schools in London, aiming to strengthen AMU’s international academic partnerships further.
