Aligarh: The ART Unit and Training Centre at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in JN Medical College at Aligarh Muslim University observed IVF day by commemorating the first test tube baby born at the JNMC six years ago using Artificial Reproductive Technique.
The chief guest Prof Jaydeep Malhotra, an alumnus of the JNMC emphasized the significance of optimization of health before selection of the IVF cases. He also delivered a lecture on Embryo-Endometrium synchronization.
In her address, the special guest, Prof Naima Khatoon, Principal of Women’s College congratulated the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for their efforts and successes in conducting IVF at JNMC for the benefit of childless people.
Another noted alumnus, Prof Narendra Malhotra applauded the ART Unit for bringing smiles to the faces of infertile couples.
Earlier, the chairperson of the department, Prof Zehra Mohsin welcomed the guests, while Prof Shaheen, ART Incharge briefly described the journey and growth of ART.
The Organizing Secretary, Dr. Deeba Khanam, who conducted the programme, informed that about 200 guests, including the kids conceived through IVF at ART Centre, along with their parents attended the programme. She also extended the vote of thanks.
