'Fit India Week' celebration concludes



Aligarh: The four-day sports festival under the Fit India Week celebrations at the Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenged at Aligarh Muslim University concluded with giving away prizes, medals and certificates to the winners and participants.

Addressing the students, the Chief Guest Mehwash Khan, Games Supervisor of Abdullah Hall, highlighted the importance of fitness and nutrition and urged them to be involved in some kind of sports and physical workout activities to keep fit and healthy.

The Principal of the school Dr Naila Rashid appreciated the students for their enthusiasm and participation in various sports and games, including Yoga dance, PT drill, Tug of War, Rope Skipping, Shot put throwing, Frog Race, Crocodile Race, essay writing competition, School bag arranging competition and the Fast fruit-eating challenge.

The winners and runners-up were also distributed fruits and dry fruit packets.
